Final Finale

Very little got done while I was in the throes of final exams but that is all over and I am getting back to the things I enjoy. I am happy to say I have a respirator for my family so several projects can begin to move forward. Just today we base coated a couple of my daughter's Eldar dire avengers which she gleefully painted up in shades of blue and purple.

One project I have really been wanting to get going on is the restoration and conversion of the engineering desk lamp. I have yet to receive my LEDs so I will move ahead with cleaning and painting the body until they do so look for that next week.

Other things coming up will be some airbrushing base coats on the long overdue Super Dungeon Explore miniatures. I picked up some of the metal minis back when the game was still in development. Now they have a really nice box set that is available with some nice unpainted plastic figurines.

I have to say I always prefer metal to resin or plastic but I know the cost of metal is always increasing where as plastics tend to stay cheaper.

Arcade dungeon crawling action. It's an intense hack-n-slash miniature style.

I also hope to get up the video of making the replacement parts with instant mold and J.B. Weld and making the dice box.

Thanks for joining me and until next time happy creating.

Find The Time

Tomorrow begins them wind down of our winter quarter with final exams. I have been studying for these upcoming exams and not gotten much done other than a few little things. Still my wife and I have been taking advantage of the lovely weather and studying outdoors. We rode our bikes over to a local cafĂ© and had coffee in the shade outside. A wind had picked up and was causing the blossoms to fall upon us like snow. I managed to get a few pictures but only a few caught the tiny pastel petals as they came raining down.
Among the little things that I managed to find time for was some repairs done to the Type A Machine's 3D printer.

The waiting

Ultimately my goal is to have at least a blog post every Sunday and a video of a tutorial and highlights every other week. Since I do all my own filming, editing and uploading it is a bit much (for now) to get a video up every week. The whole reason I'm doing this is to practice with my skills and improve on them so that means I'm not going to just slap together some jumpy clips and bad transitions just to upload something.

With that insightful tid-bit we can venture forth into the work at hand.
